Belonging is a vast and abstract subject in a time when global bodies of power are systematically challenging and, more often than not, destroying notions of home, land, and identity. But it has also emerged as a highly resonant topic during our introductory session where we discussed the need for different, more inclusive, kinder, desexualized, and critical spaces.

So, how can we create a sense of belonging when structures of oppression and disidentity multiply everywhere around us? Where do we find kindness and joy when the world makes it so easy to avoid? To discuss these topics, we've chosen to think of food as the glue that brings us, our (chosen) families, and our communities together. What better way of understanding our collective perspective of belonging than sharing a meal? So let's eat, let's heal, and let's talk!
